Wimmera Mallee storages have continued to increase in the past week.

Of the six storages that are currently holding water, five experienced an increase in their level last week.

Lake Bellfield has increased by 740 megalitres and is at 16% of its full supply capacity. With 12,910 megalitres in storage, Bellfield remains well down compared with the same time last year, when it was at 22% with 17,190 megalitres in storage.

Lake Fyans also experienced a slight increase during the week, an inflow of 80 megalitres boosting the level to 28% of capacity, which is up compared with the same time last year.

Moora Reservoir currently sits at 42% and rose by 270 megalitres in the past week, while both Rocklands and Wartook also experienced increases of around 400 megalitres.

The only storage to record a decrease for the week was Taylors Lake, which dropped by 50 megalitres.

Lake Lonsdale was holding water at this time last year, 2800 megalitres in fact, but no water has officially been recorded in the lake at this stage despite the recent rains.
