A team from Ararat's Lowe Street Nursing Home competed with a team from Macpherson Smith for medals as a celebration of the 29th Olympiad.

A barbecue lunch was enjoyed prior to the commencement of formalities which included the singing of the National Anthem.

Three events being basketball, quoits and bowls were contested. Team members were matched on individual abilities.

Outright champion was Robert from Ararat, winning two gold and one silver medal.

The `Games' were declared a draw, with all participants enjoying the day immensely.

The Ararat Team provided an enjoyable afternoon tea.
