Students from Halls Gap and Pomonal Primary Schools are busy polishing their dance steps in time for the 2008 State Schools Spectacular.
The State Schools Spectacular is a showcase of the amazing vocal, musical and dancing talents of students in Victorian government schools.
With over 1200 students in the choir and 1500 dancers from around 150 government schools, the Joining the Chorus State Schools Spectacular will culminate in three fantastic performances set to take place on September 6 and 7 at Melbourne's Vodafone Arena.
An annual showcase of Victorian talent, this year's Spectacular is a celebration of all things Australian.
On Friday May 9, Halls Gap and Pomonal students travelled down to Mt Clear College to participate in the first round of regional rehearsals.
Halls Gap Primary School has 19 students from grades one to six participating as feature dancers in four numbers at this year's Spectacular.
Pomonal Primary School will have five students in the Spectacular and St Arnaud Secondary College will take 40 students.
The Halls Gap group has been enthusiastically learning some wonderful choreography from Mark Laguerre to the tune of iconic Aussie songs.
