Navarre reserves march forward

19/08/2008 9:33:00 AM
Navarre's reserves have progressed through to the Lexton Plains Football League second semi final.

The Grasshoppers were 22 point winners over Carngham-Linton on Saturday and will now meet minor premiers Rokewood-Corindhap this Saturday at Rokewood.

After starting slowly, Navarre rallied in the second term to take an eight point lead into the half time break. Just one goal to the Saints in the third term whittled the margin back to two points at the final change before Navarre finished the better with three majors to its opponents' one behind.

Jarryd Harrison booted three goals for the Grasshoppers and was one of the team's best along with Barry Fletcher, Cory Hope and Torio Mwareow.

Meanwhile, the under 14s kept their season alive with an emphatic 81 point elimination final win against Rokewood-Corindhap.
